Martin: Helle Erdhummeln Bombus lucorum in Gefangenschaft
>>>Hallo
>>>

>>It could be that some nests produce only males. That has many reasons… for example the queen is ill, or died before she has put the eggs for new queens and males. Very often the eggs of the males were puting by the workers. You needn’t give them suggar water or pollen they collect it self on the flowers. You can plant flowers which are very good for bumblebees how comfrey (Symphytum officinale) red an white clover…

>My Bumblebees do not get out of the flowers. I am entering my bumblebees fresh frozen pollen and sugar water. Why switch point and competition point comes so early? Workers born few and young queens will only occur rarely. Males will be too much.

Soweit mir bekannt, hält hier niemand Hummelvölker „in Gefangenschaft“.
I’m not aware of anyone on these boards that rears Bumblebees in captivity. So we most likely won’t be of great help to you. Since you’ve also had successes with other species – which ones, if I may ask? – you probably provided them with the right kind of food and environment.
How often did you experience this with lucorum?
You might want to have the queen checked for parasites.
