Martin: Helle Erdhummeln Bombus lucorum in Gefangenschaft
>>>>>>>Hallo

>>>>>>>Ich wohne im Süden Finnlands. Ich habe viel von Hummeln in der Gefangenschaft (zu Hause) gezüchtet. Warum sind in Gefangenschaft gezüchtet Helle Erdhummeln (Bombus lucorum) Nester produzieren nur 15-40 Arbeiter, und dann meist nur Drones? Ich habe für den gesamten Zeitraum des Zuckerwasser und Pollen eingetragen.

>>>>>>It could be that some nests produce only males. That has many reasons… for example the queen is ill, or died before she has put the eggs for new queens and males. Very often the eggs of the males were puting by the workers. You needn’t give them suggar water or pollen they collect it self on the flowers. You can plant flowers which are very good for bumblebees how comfrey (Symphytum officinale) red an white clover…

>>>Hallo Martin
>>>
>>>Bombus terrestris is the only species that has been entirely easy to grow in captivity. Bombus lucorum nests almost always develops into small, even though they can fly out in the summer. However in the observation hives B. lapidarius and B. hypnorum colonies will grow generally large, if the workers get to fly out of the flowers in the summer.

>Yes, I have often put Bombus lucorum queens in different nest boxes. Yes they are very easily started the initiation of colony. However, the entire colony has remained relatively low compared to other common species.

I haven’t tried. But I think Bago had lucorum a few years ago. And [http://www.insektenstaaten.de/Tagebuch20112.html Michel] had nests of Bombus cryptarum, a closely related species. I don’t think they did anything special for them, other than showing them where to nest.
